Good Morning folks,

Special thanks to those of you who helped out with the Middle School group last night, everything went really well!
We've got a bunch of stuff coming up this week, so here goes.

1. Shycon Registrations
If anyone wants to go to Senior High Youth Day, and hasn't signed up yet, PLEASE get your forms in by this Sunday.  You can bring them to youth group if you like.  If you need another form, they're available at http://ym.ourladyofvictory.com on the left hand side under "forms" They are DUE sunday October 2nd!  The event is Sunday October 23rd.

2. Life-Chain
I think some of you may not have been aware of this event.  On this Sunday, Oct 2nd, it's Respect Life Sunday.  So every year on this day, we get together to take a stand against abortion.  One of the ways we do that is the "Life-Chain" event.  "Life chain is a peaceful expression of our respect and reverence for life."  Basically, we'll meet at the former Abortion Clinic, 900 West College Ave at 1:45.  and we'll be given signs to hold on the street from 2:00pm to 3:00pm.  All of the signs are white with various messages on them, but none of them have graphic pictures.  This is an event that both you and your whole families are encouraged to attend.  As far as getting there, parking is limited, so you may want to park at the Church and walk across Coral Street up to the site of the former Clinic.  Hope to see you there!

3. This week at FORT.
Since it's respect life Sunday, and we already watched "Juno" last year, and we had thought about doing one of the Star Trek Episode discussions, we'll try a pro-life one this week.  (there's actually some pretty good ones)  Hopefully this'll give you guys some ideas of other TV episodes we could use for topic nights.  I'm always open to suggestions, but just remember, it has to be available on either Netflix or Hulu, or something you have on DVD in order to work downstairs.  So, we'll try it this week and see how it goes!  I do understand if some of you guys have to miss on account of Bilbo's Birthday...

See you Saturday!!!
-Fr. Matt
