Good Afternoon Everyone!

We have some very special things coming up in the next couple of weeks that I'm sure you won't want to miss!  The next few weeks, we'll be having some guest speakers coming in to talk about "life after youth group"  and some of the things that go along with becoming an adult in the faith.  Some things to get involved in, and some ways to continue to practice your faith through college and beyond!  Each speaker will talk for about 30-40 minutes, with about 20 minutes for questions, and our usual social time afterwards.

05-04 - Newman - This week, we'll have two guests from Penn State Newman club to talk about what exactly a Newman club is, what's it like trying to practice your faith in college, and some of the highs and lows of being a Catholic at college.

05-11 - Knights of Columbus/Catholic Daughters - One of the great things about our Church is some of the great work of some of our Lay organizations of the Faithful.  Both the Knights and the Daughters are fraternal organizations.  They do a good deal of service both to parishes and their communities, and provide a great environment to meet new people who are excited about their faith.  Both groups  accept members once a person turns 18.  Guys, yes, this is the talk where you find out how you can get one of those fancy hats & swords!

05-18 - St. Vincent DePaul - One of the duties we have as Catholics is to serve the poor.  St. Vincent DePaul is one of the largest and oldest organizations doing just that in our country.  You'll hear quite a bit about what they do, how you can get involved, and how we can work to help those who are in need.

Then, of course, just by way of FYI, we'll be having our next Swing Dance Fri May 25th from 7:30pm-10:30pm with lessons from 6:30pm-7:30pm, more info at http://ym.ourladyofvictory.com/special-events/Event1

See you Friday!
