Good Evening Everyone,

Sorry for the late notice on this email, but I was away at the Clergy conference until last night.  As I'm sure we've all seen, spring has finally sprung, and with it comes all sorts of fun stuff.  This week, we'll be doing everyone's favorite activity....spring cleaning of the youth room....Since we're the ones who primarily use the room, it is important for us to occasionally take the time to really clean things up.  So with that in mind, please wear old clothes to youth tomorrow, and we'll get everything looking a little nicer for the next few weeks.  While I do understand if you're busy, please don't blow this week off because we really do need to care for the space we've been given.  If anyone has a small shop-vac at home that they'd like to bring along to help with some of the cookie/cracker crumbs it would be appreciated.

Then, for the next few weeks, we're going to have something a little different than normal.  As the end of the school year approaches, I'd like to take a little bit of time to talk about the sort of things that happen after youth ministry, and after high school.  So with that in mind, for the next 3 weeks, we're going to have a few guest speakers come in to talk about some different things.  Of course, the talks will each go for the first hour, with a fun activity for the 2nd hour.

Please remember there is NO FORT on Fri April 27th because of confirmation!!!

April 27 - Confirmation (No FORT)
May 4th - Penn State Newman - What's it like to try to practice your faith in college?  What is a Newman club?  and things like that...

We haven't decided which one of these will be the 11th or the 18th yet....
May 11/18  -   St. Vincent De Paul - When I become a Young Adult, how can I help serve the poor and live out my life as a caring Catholic?  Who are SVdP and what do they do?  How can I get involved?
May 11/18  - Catholic Daughters/Knights of Columbus - What are Catholic Fraternal organizations?  What do they do?  When I turn 18 should I join one?  How do I join?
(Part of this night will be broken up boy/girl with the respective group)

Then, after that, it'll be time for a Hunger Games topic night where we'll have a discussion on the Hunger Games books....(I've giving everyone a little extra time, so that maybe we can talk about the whole series rather than just the movie)  After that, we'll start into Screwtape Letters for the Summer Sessions.

The Summer Schedule is almost finalized, I hope to have it official early next week.

See you all Friday 7PM-9PM!!!
