Good Morning Everyone!

Just wanted to give you some updates on what's going to be happening!  First of all, thanks to everyone who worked with and made the Swing Dance another big success, while we ended up around 60 rather than our usual 80, a LOT of those 60 were there for the first time, which is great!  So we have a few upcoming events to let you know about!

Protectors - This week at youth group, we'll start the "official" lessons in the Protectors program.  Let's see how things go, remember, we're very interested in hearing your reactions to the program.  The lesson should run about 40 minutes, then we'll have our normal fun time afterwards.  There have been some people asking about having some outdoor Nerf-battles at youth group.  As the weather gets nicer, I'll check the forecast for next week, and if it's nice, I see no reason why we couldn't try some outdoor activities.

Teen Mass - March 3rd.  Next Saturday, March 3rd, is our next teen mass.  All of you are of course invited, and we hope to see those of you who are available there!  Two things to note though, First, we've made a Facebook event https://www.facebook.com/events/354080531279002/  If those of you on Facebook could share the event with your friends, it would be appriciated!  Secondly, we're in need of teen volunteers to be Readers, Ushers, Music, Setup, Cleanup, etc. if any of you are available or interested, sign up here  http://www.volunteerspot.com/login/entry/122345632066500073

For More info check out Special events at our website http://ym.ourladyofvictory.com Hope to see you on the 3rd!

40 Hour Famine - March 9-11 Our Lady of Victory and Blessed Kateri are joining together to have a 40 hour for hunger event. This event is going to work a little bit different though. Instead of fasting from food for 40 hours we are going to fast from technology....facebook, texting, television etc. We do this so we can focus on the wonderful things that God has given to us. We pray for those who hunger for Christ and the forty hours that we fast are in remembrance of the forty hours Jesus spent in the tomb. The event is going to run from Friday night to Sunday night. We will have several activities during the weekend to participate in. I know that it is SAT weekend...if you are taking the SAT don't worry! You can still participate if you would like.  This will NOT be an overnight event

For More info, look at our Special Events on our website under 40 hour Famine, the Facebook Event is https://www.facebook.com/events/173834632731158/

Diaper Drive - As a Lenten Service project, we'll be doing a diaper drive to benefit Project Gabriel.  In the next week or two, we'll be announcing to the parish asking for people to donate a box of diapers.  Then we'll ask some of you guys to sign up, 2 per mass, to sit at a table either in the back of Church or in the Social hall helping to collect diapers and box them to send off to needy mothers.  More info to follow...

That's all I have for now, see you Friday Night 8pm-10pm!!!
-Fr. Matt
